We live in a very confusing time in the church, but looking back on church history in all honesty it always has been a bit confusing. There always seems to be an issue of who is right and who is wrong. We question who has the right doctrine or who is a heretic. Honestly, every man (or woman) is right in their own eyes, according to the scriptures. It does not mean we are right or wrong, it just means we always tend to believe we are in the right during controversy.
It’s ok to be right and it is ok to be right for who YOU are and for what YOUR calling is. We all have different callings but we belong to the same body. I read just recently an opinion about going public in ministry and that it is not a humble thing to do. Actually we should be grateful for public ministries. Apostle Paul had a very public ministry and wrote most of the New Testament. We owe a great deal of gratitude for his service. Not every one in public ministry is trying to be famous in their flesh. Sometimes God promotes people for a reason. If we do not go public with our faith and ministry then who will benefit from it? Not everyone is meant to do this but some truly are.
I personally had my born again experience as a result of a public television ministry and a call to Christ one night. That was almost 40 years ago! I thank God for those people every time God brings them back to mind. It really does no one any good to criticize another’s ministry or calling. What we really truly should do is to serve God as HE has called us personally and trust Him! He has it all under control. Even if there is a minister you disagree with God knows what is needed or not needed concerning that person. He has it all in His hands.
No added information is really needed. Trust HIM and live in peace among your brothers and sisters regardless to where their ministry is, either public, private, in a huge church congregation or in a home small group. It is all God’s work and Jesus will watch over His sheep!
Love one another and love as God has called you to love. We can’t lose with love. Give everyone the benefit of the doubt. No one knows what another has walked through and no one knows the conviction of another’s heart but God. Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding…” You don’t have all of the information to speak into a person’s life and calling. Leave that to God. He is good at what He does!
