Apple Cider Vinegar Product I Use

Apple cider vinegar is so good for health reasons so I take the gummies daily. I have a hard time swallowing the liquid form but the gummies are great and give me no issues at all! The benefits of apple cider vinegar are numerous but here are some named on a Healthline online post.

Can lower blood sugar

Help in weight loss

Help reduce cholesterol

Help improve diabetes

** Please read the article on Healthline for more information!

I know for a fact my cholesterol levels are better. I recently had a blood screening. Although my bad cholesterol was high, my good cholesterol was so over the top I don’t need to be on medication! This is new for me because I’ve never had this result before. I am certain this has come from taking two of the apple cider vinegar gummies per day.

The brand I use is in the photo above. I order it off Amazon. I am not an affiliate. I just like to receive my order quickly!

Give these a try! They are super great and taste good!

Benefits of Castor Oil! Did you know…?

IMG_0288.jpgIn my quest to find the most natural ways of healing and good health, I stumbled upon the benefits of castor oil. Castor oil comes from an extraction of the beans of a plant, or Ricinus communes, otherwise also referred to as Palma Christi (the palm of Christ). Castor oil was highlighted for its healing properties by the late Edgar Cayce. Edgar Cayce was fondly referred to as “the sleeping prophet”.

Once used by the ancient Egyptians for its healing properties, castor oil has shown it can be of benefit for many other reasons as well. Here is a quick list of the benefits of castor oil. (Then I will give you my experience)!

Natural anti-inflammatory – arthritis and puffiness around the eyes, swelling. If taken internally, remember it is a powerful laxative! Castor oil packs can be used for painful joints and arthritis.

Natural anti-fungal – dental use to remove candida build up around tooth roots that cause infection and decay, and also for candida build up in the stomach

Good for hair and scalp. Helps dandruff, scalp issues and has been shown to grow nice thick healthy hair and even eyelashes! Add a small amount to the scalp and let it soak in a few hours or over night. Then wash as usual.

Removes moles and skin tags – add to the mole and put a piece of tape over it daily, or add several times a day. The mole will be removed over time. Can be combined with apple cider vinegar or a mixture of baking soda to make a paste and then tape over the mole to be removed.

Natural moisturizer and skin healer, wrinkle fighter – used in many cosmetic and skin care products.

Helps healing of wounds, and will remove the scar afterwards.

Reduces the look of scars and can actually remove scarring of the skin

Acne treatment – can help heal acne and also take away acne scarring from previous break outs.

Carrier oil Castor oil can be used as a carrier oil by adding essential oils to it in order to dilute the potency of the essential oil, especially when applied to skin.

My Experience

I have to say this first. I have very sensitive skin! I also have seasonal allergies, which is not only hard on my sinus area but also under my eyes due to dry itching eyes and sinus blockages. I found my skin area under my eyes getting very puffy or dried out. No matter what I put on it there was just more irritation. So, I tried castor oil because of its anti-inflammatory properties and for a moisturizer. I just applied a tiny bit of the oil under my eyes and then added a little moisturizer with sun screen allowing the oil to be spread over the rest of my face. Believe me, its thick and only a little bit goes a long way. After THREE days I noticed the puffiness was GONE and my skin has had a nice healthy glow to it. It reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and helps dry cracked or chapped lips as well. I use a moisturizer for the sunscreen. Or if a foundation makeup has sunscreen the moisturizer can be skipped all together and avoid some of the added chemicals to the products.

If you try this, please try a little on your face first to make sure you don’t have an adverse reaction: although rare. Also, if used as a laxative, please use a tiny amount at a time, maybe start with a quarter to half teaspoon in a protein drink. Too much can cause cramping.

To purchase, look for COLD PRESSED with NO HEXANES. The product in the photo above was purchased at Walmart in the laxative section for only a few dollars!

** Pregnant women should not use castor oil as a laxative.

**Test the site in a small area to be used before use to rule out any reactions although rare.

**Not to be used in place of medical advice from your doctor

The Magic of Magnesium

428420_384456001663077_62980852_nIn my latest quest to feel better after a period of illness, I have discovered the massive health benefits and needs of magnesium. I had been having horrible migraine like headaches, muscle weakness, and loss of good sleep. Along with these, constipation and horrible heart palpitations as well. Strangely these symptoms and more can be an indication that there is a magnesium deficiency. This very important element is involved with over 300 bodily processes and is much needed for the absorption of many other vitamins and minerals. Magnesium is involved with the nerves, muscles, and bones. Every area of the body needs it for good health and function. Who knew? If you have not studied nutrition you might have missed this important element. I recall those good health and nutrition classes in high school we always had to take but never had I ever learned the benefits of some vital minerals and vitamins for good body function. When the body breaks down and one becomes ill, believe me, we have to study beyond the usual visual aide of all of the essential food groups. Taking care of our body is the most important thing we can do for ourselves and others. It is the temple of God’s Holy Spirit and our very soul depends upon it functioning well.

“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself(1 Cor 6:19)

Magnesium can help heal a lot of things we struggle with including depression, anxiety, heart issues, muscle aches and twitches, bowel problems, bone issues, and more! Why in the world would we not be aware of something so important to our lives and good health?

Ok, so here is the scoop on how to get more magnesium into your life. Include a lot of these very essential foods, to name just a few,  for good health benefits:

Green leafy vegetables

Brown rice and quinoa

(You can find a better list in the article link below: “Top 10 High Magnesium Foods”.

Pregnant women especially need magnesium so it is always included in pregnancy multiple vitamins, along with iron and proper amounts of calcium.

“Every organ in the body, especially the heart, muscles, and kidneys, needs magnesium. This mineral also contributes to the makeup of teeth and bones. Magnesium activates enzymes, contributes to energy production, and helps regulate levels of calcium, copper, zinc, potassium, vitamin D, and other important nutrients in the body” Magnesium: University of Maryland Medical Center.

I had written a previous article on the health benefits of coconut oil, especially with bowel issues or constipation Health Benefits of Coconut Oil .  Magnesium also helps with these issues as well.

You are only given one body. The greatest gift you can give yourself and others is to take good care of it and help others to the same! Cheers to good eating and good nutrition!

I hope this has helped you in some way!

Health Benefits of Coconut Oil

coconut_oilOne of the most significant ways a woman can empower herself is to remain healthy. Working on a healthy lifestyle is an every day thing from the beginning of life through the rest of our lives. We can be as empowering as possible but if we don’t guard our health what good is it? Part of living an empowered life is to live a healthy one.

One of the most beneficial things I have found to add to my own daily diet is coconut oil! After having gone through at least a year of struggling with health issues, I have been led down the path of researching things that would help me to feel better, have more energy, become sick less, and to improve body function. I discovered a good well oiled body on the inside makes it function better and to remain healthier.

Coconut oil has been an amazing discovery for me! I am talking about the kind that is virgin organic oil made for cooking and ingesting. (There are other forms of coconut oil which are used externally. To find the right one, please consult the label and make sure it says virgin organic and suitable for cooking). I discovered its value while researching what would be the best solution for resolving constipation and also to cleanse out bacterial invasions. I had gone through at least 2 recent 10 week rounds of antibiotics and also a steroid to help inflammation of my sinus area. For the last year I have had to be on antibiotics at least 5 times. Believe me, that is 5 times more than usual. I basically never had become this sick this often. I don’t think I had ever become so frustration in my life.

I read many articles on the benefits of coconut oil and discovered it has many! Not only is it a natural antibiotic, but it is a much needed saturated fat. Unlike many myths, saturated fats do not automatically clog our arteries. In fact, there are 3 major things we always need  for proper elimination. They are water, fiber, and fat! If we don’t have those 3 things regularly in our diets we become clogged and toxins stay in our bodies. Your body was created to consume food that gives it nutrients and then it moves on through it and out. When this does not happen you can become very ill from the build up of toxins and waste from the food you eat. Some ill effects can be weakness, headaches, infections, etc.

Everyone is different, but I have found that 1-2 tablespoons of virgin organic coconut oil per day is enough to flush things through properly. Of course, we can’t forget the water and fiber. I had to experiment to discover the right amount for me. I ingest 1 tablespoon at breakfast in a protein shake and then 1 tablespoon at night in another type of food. The good thing about coconut oil is it can be used to cook with.  I discovered that ordinary cut up fried potatoes is amazingly good when fried in coconut oil! It gives them a sweet taste along with adding a bit of salt. Its also great for stir frying veggies and other things as well.

Some of the ways I use it now are:

In a protein shake

To fry veggies

By the tablespoon in an emergency

Added to syrup for pancakes and waffles

Added to peanut butter and spread on toast

Small amount in a cup of green tea with a teaspoon of honey

Mixed into a bowl of cooked oatmeal

You can come up with your own as you experiment! There are other benefits to using this amazing oil and you can find some of them in one of the the article’s I found online 10 Proven Health Benefits of Coconut Oil . Please do your own research. You will be so glad you did!

Healthfully Yours,
