Embracing change was not always my strong point in my life’s history. I liked consistency but lived a life of continual change anyway. I finally realized that change is inevitable. Nothing ever stays the same in life. We always must evolve and move forward. Onward and upward, right? One of my more obvious changes lately is my hair color but it’s so much more than that. The color of my life is changing and I am not only allowing it but I am facilitating it!
Let’s face it, we all have to take the good with the difficult in this life, right? Some things are beyond our control. Some changes can be facilitated by ourselves. In fact, the best changes come from our own efforts. Traveling the road of least resistance and keeping as positive as we can under even hard circumstances can make life a whole lot more interesting and productive.
Our world (especially the United States) loves innovation and was established by many great thinkers and inventors. Can you imagine if they allowed life’s troubles to stop them from creating the things they envisioned? I am sure even the greatest of the great became discouraged sometimes but I am also sure they did not live there. They continued to get back up until they accomplished their dreams.
Let’s make a promise to ourselves to keep getting back up, alright? Nothing is ever accomplished perfect the first time around. Everything, including our lives themselves, can be improved upon. Life is a process. A lot of how our process unfolds depends upon our attitudes! Whatever shadows are lurking in your life’s basement, open the door to the light and let it in! Shadows are less scary when light is added to see what is behind the creepy imagines this world often presents to us these days. Life is less creepy when we know what we are dealing with!
