When I dream of fall, I think of renewal. I know spring has the gold metal for all things renewed but there can be no renewal without shedding what was. Fall is such a beautiful season. It’s the promise of new things to come and letting go of the old things that no longer will work. Let’s not forget the beauty of the season we call fall.
The leaves are falling, the breezes are blowing things away and everything that grows has taken on new color. Rain is beginning to fall in some places and the temperatures fall a great deal after a long hot summer.
Life is a cycle just like the seasons. Renewal is on its way when fall arrives. Along with this knowledge comes a sigh of relief and a hope for a new beginning and a renewed tomorrow. I often need to remind myself that a renewed life means letting go of the old parts of life that will no longer fit into my dreams. If you want to create a new dream, you have to get through fall and after that, winter. It’s a part of our process just like nature. It’s all worth it in the spring, I promise!
Letting go is hard for humans, isn’t it? I love to hang onto my memories, especially the ones that gave me the greatest joy. I’m someone who reflects on things but the reflection back is not always easy. Along with those beautiful memories come some of the greatest heartaches. I’d like to drop those parts, thank you very much! Letting go is hard when love is involved and it seems like it always is, right? Love is the foundation of our connections with one another and also with all things. If God is love then love is in everything because God is in everything.
What does your fall look like? Are you separating things to give away and some to keep? Are you contemplating what your dreams look like and how you will achieve them? Are you letting go of what no longer serves you so you can obtain the components of your dreams that will? Whatever your process is, keep things moving, please! Let’s move onward and forward. Did I just hear you sigh? Yes, it all can be very hard. Give yourself permission to dream ma’ dear. There is nothing like a good solid dream to keep things moving along. You WILL let go if you love and want your dream more than you desire to hold on to what no longer suits you. Go ahead. Let it go honey. You deserve more! I promise you, even if it hurts, there will be a new day, a new dawn, and a time of arising!
