May You Find Forgiveness and Peace!

“A life well examined is a life that embodies peace,” Dr. Jenine Marie

Inner reflection is time well spent. When time is used to examine our lives for the harm, we might be responsible for; we have entered a place of mastery. It’s easy to blame others, leave things in the dark, or let things go and not deal with them. When time is used to find our wrongdoings in life and seek out forgiveness for those wrongs, we make room for new growth in our lives.

It is a lot like pulling weeds from a beautiful garden. Once the weeds are pulled, the garden is free for more growth, expansion, and beauty. We are that garden. Our inner spaces are just as important as our outer presentation. Taking time to seek out the weeds and pull them to the surface to deal with them is a labor of love. Once we have sought forgiveness for those moments that have not been so lovely, we are freeing up space inside us to expand and grow into a better version of ourselves.

Forgiveness shares space within divinity. Often, we think of forgiveness as something we do for others, but actually, it is what we do for ourselves. Sometimes we think we do it for God. God does not need for us to be forgiven but God wants us to be. Our lives can be as exciting as we can make it, but without forgiveness for our wrongdoings, we are not growing.

Do you want to get past all the past? Maybe you have not taken the time to examine the inner workings of your heart. Be honest with yourself. Have you forgiven yourself and others for what has happened in life? I believe our lives are entirely examined the moment we take our last human breath and move into only spirit. You might not think you need it. If you want more freedom, if life is not what you would like it to be, then you need it!

Do not waste another moment hiding in the shadows with your issues. In the light of God, you hide nothing. During this Day of Atonement or any day, examine your heart. Ask God to help you and to reveal any way in you that might be less than free because of the sludge of unforgiveness. Forgive yourself, forgive others past transgressions against you. You need not draw hurtful people back into your life, or even keep them. Just forgive them. Free up space in your garden. Stop looking and pointing out other’s faults or mistakes. Yours are worth looking at, and you are worth freeing!

Fitness and Being Fabulous!

attachment-1

About 11 years ago I found myself going through a lot of personal life transition. During that time I went into the caregiving industry, caring for seniors in their homes and helping them do things they could not do for themselves. I was shocked at how many pretty healthy seniors needed someone to help them up and down in order to get around the house. These were not people who had major surgeries or issues, they just did not have the strength to get up and down, or keep themselves steady as they walked through the house. Basically, I became their crutch.

I remember thinking to myself, I was not going to be like that! I am determined to walk on my own through my older age without help! Mobility is a gift in older age. Mobility helps us feel younger and more vibrant. I have come to appreciate this after a move from one city to another as of late. Unfortunately I ended up with a back muscle strain. It’s so hard when something hurts every time there is movement and there are things to be done!

Back in the 90’s I had already been introduced to exercise genius, Kathy Smith, by someone who was a friend of mine. She gave me my first Kathy Smith VHS video cassette tape to work out. I had been feeling a bit tired, and with five kids to take care of on my own it was hard to keep the energy up. I fell into bed every night exhausted and I knew I needed a change. I started working out with Kathy Smith and I loved it! It was so hard at first but I came to enjoy it so much! It always felt good when I was able to do more of the video than before. I realized, energy begets energy and motivation brings more motivation.

Today, I am working through Kathy Smith’s free 14 day exercise and diet challenge. (See link below). She supplies the great recipes, the online workouts, inspirational emails, and a Facebook group for support through the process. I am pleased that after just a few days of a new change in foods I eat, and completing my exercise each day, my back strain feels so much better. In fact, everything feels better! So far, I can even see my waist again! The main thing is feeling good. I’m no longer taking care of children in my home as my kids are grown now, but at this phase of my life I need even more energy to complete my life tasks. As I age, my overall health has become my biggest focus. I don’t need to look like a supermodel. To me, that is fake. I do want to feel my best and if I can feel 20 years younger at this point in life, why not go for it?

Kathy Smith’s free 14 day program is called “Fit Over 40″ and I love it! I feel like I am doing good things just for me. Self care is so important and this is the best self care. She supplies the grocery list for all of her recipes and an online eBook to download everything needed. One thing that really helps is the Facebook group. I keep inspired to continue when I read the posts and interact with others who are doing the same thing.

Kathy Smith’s “Fit Over 40 Challenge” starts here. Just click on the title link and go to day one! (I don’t receive from her sales and I do not work for her company. I just love what this program is beginning to do for me.) Ask about downloading her free eBook that has all of her recipes, grocery list, and workout links!
