As a Reiki Practitioner or Reiki Master you will always want to protect your energy field. We are bombarded with so much negativity every day and as those who use Life Force Energy for healing, we always want to make sure we protect ourselves from negative influences. Protection of your energy can be accomplished very easily through dedication prayer, intention, and visualization.
I like to protect my energy in the morning before meditation and at night before I go to sleep. Or, I might do a quick energy protection any time I feel the need arises!
Here is what you can do as a Reiki Master or Practitioner.
- Settle into a nice quiet sacred space. Or if you happen to be out in the world, get into the car or a place that is quiet for you.
- Place your hands into a prayer position over your heart, or you can place your hands over your heart space by covering the area with your palms.
- Take a few deep breaths in and out, center, and you can also close your eyes.
- I recite out loud, ” With gratitude, I call upon life force reiki energy to surround me, cleanse me, and protect me from all negativity. I ask for cleansing of mind, body, and spirit. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
- Visualize white light coming through your crown at the top of your head and settling into your heart space area. Watch the light expand through the heart area and with your intention expand it outward in a bubble encircling your body, out through your aura field and as far as you would like it to go!
- Close, by once again being in gratitude for Reiki energy moving your hands in prayer position from in front of your heart space up to your forehead.
- Take a deep breath in and out and relax! You are done!
Remember life force energy is in every part of our being and around us. Protection can be for anything that might attack the mind, body or spirit. Always be prepared by being covered!
