I’m Wondering…

Have you ever been curious about something so much that you just have to investigate further? Me too! I believe that God made us to “wonder” and to be curious. How else would so many discoveries and inventions be made? Wondering about the stars, galaxies, and planets caused man kind to venture out into what used to be the unknown. I guess we could say that wondering brings exploration, investigation, and contemplation.

I used to wonder what it would be like to have a baby. I had five! Sometimes wonder brings action and new decisions! I’m  always happy about my decision to have children. It has not always been easy but it has always been worth it.

Wondering can be like dreaming. It seems passive but actually its not. Our thoughts create actions and actions create new decisions and new things in life. In fact, when I really sat down to meditate on it, I realized that I wonder about a lot of things. Maybe wondering is why so many children ask the question “Why?” so much. Some of my deepest wondering is about spiritual things or about the soul. I just have to know! I love to explore what makes a soul a soul and where the spirit is after it has left the body.

I remember a time I looked into a mirror and wondered who that was looking back at me. Have you ever done that? Who IS that person in there? Looking deep into my own eyes, I wonder what makes that spark of life in me the way it is. We exist. Isn’t that amazing? Have you ever wondered about your brain and how many thoughts you have in a day? What a miraculous creation our brain is! It’s like it never stops going as long as we are alive! Then there is the mind, which goes far beyond what our human brain contains. This is even more intriguing to me. The mind is virtually limitless because there are so many possibilities within its travels.  The unconscious mind is the part of us that likes to play while sleeping. Ever wonder where your dreams come from?

I never thought of wondering as a power until I meditated on it. Our wondering brings creation through curiosity and exploration. It’s really quite remarkable. We can close our eyes and dream of any possibility and see it as possible.

What do you wonder? Spend some time meditating on it or catch yourself wondering. I bet you do it more than you even realize! Your wondering is creating in your life. Be bold to step out into the things you wonder about. There is a universe of possibilities waiting for you!.
