Tenacity to Walk Out Faith

Photo by Idy Tanndy on Pexels.com

For some reason, we tend to think that having faith is some magic button we push, and suddenly things appear or work out. It is not like that. Faith is the evidence of things hoped for. It sounds spiritual. Guess what? It is! Having faith is knowing that which is unseen is going to manifest in the world of reality. Yet, desires do not just appear like some magical potion makes it happen. We are expected to work out our faith with diligence. This means that we create action toward the desire we have. If no steps are made in faith, then nothing happens. Then we start thinking there is no hope.

This is not the truth. Hope is always there, but it needs us to keep it alive, and we need hope to keep us alive. Hope is what got me through many a long, painful night. Dark nights happen. When they do, the biggest part of having faith is knowing we can count on God to do His part if we do ours.

If we wake up one day, and it feels like we are in a mindless prison, it is time to activate faith. We do not just “have it”; we act out what we believe to be true. It is just like when we are children and act out our fantasies. How can we create anything if we are either stuck in one position or going in the wrong direction? I hate to say it this way but planting our butts on a stool and thinking the Universe is going to drop our desires right in our lap is plain ridiculous.

Part of knowing about God is having a relationship with God. That means we partner with God. If we are not willing to do that then we will just have to settle on the fact that we will sit on our dreams until the day we pass away from this world. What a shame that is!

I want to challenge you today. Be daring. Think about what you truly desire and then have the tenacity to just get up and go get it! What do you have to lose? You might just realize your dreams. If you want God, the Universe, the angelic hosts, to all assist you, then you have to be a part of the gang and do the job too. It’s part of our learning process. Like it or not, its time to learn the lesson about walking out faith and get moving.

You will not gain anything with your face turned into the direction of someone else’s dream either. I am just being frank with you here. Get yourself into your own dream! Keep your face to the wind and go for it with all you have. You might just end up happy. Dang, wouldn’t that be a miracle?

You Are a Cosmic Transparent Being

Photo by Nick Bondarev on Pexels.com

Even the shyest person is more transparent than they think. We pick up more about people than we realize. It is hard to conceal everything, although we often think we are. Our actions speak much louder than words. Also, we pick up on people’s subtle stories much more than we realize. We are transparent, just like clear tape. We think we hide the sticky parts, but honestly, we never hide a thing.

We are like radio waves that broadcast across the airway every moment. Those waves of energy have thought attached to them. Ever wonder how some people seem to be intuitive? Often, they are reading the cosmic waves that we all put out. Before you think this is way too strange to keep reading, think about it a bit more.

If we all emit energy from our bodies and we all attract energy toward us, then we also emit and attract all that goes with it, including thought. Thoughts create. They do this by sending out waves on a frequency that ends up attracting the same. In some cases, the frequencies attract a Karmic situation either to bless us or teach us.

I have said it before, and I will repeat it. Nothing is ever hidden. We send out our feelings and things we wish no one could know, out into the atmosphere daily. I giggle a bit when I think of the Bible verse, “Be sure your sin will find you out.”  Everything finds you out. In other words, things are revealed from you and to you.

I like the idea of knowing things that most believe we do not know. We can be distracted sometimes and miss things but if we fine tune our awareness there is not much that can be hidden either by us or from us. More than that, nothing is hidden from God, our Creator, the Universe, or any way you choose to think about it.

Sometimes if things are not revealed our life situations will reveal them. We attract these things toward us by our actions. On one side of the spectrum I think this is very cool. On another side it can be disturbing. I used to know people who found out things by tapping the phone, or someone’s computer. Silly people! Look at life around you, foster your awareness, meditate and pray. You will discover we all can tap into the divine that is within us all!

Characteristics of Love: Love Does Not Delight in Evil but Rejoices With the Truth

If you have been following along with my blog posts lately you might have discovered my “love” series is taken from the attributes of love described in the bible in the book of 1 Corinthians chapter 13. Isn’t it nice that we have a guideline? I kind of skipped to this one because it stood out for me today as something we all should pay attention to in this world. We pretty much have a mixed bag of nuts here on earth, and I say that respectfully! What I mean, is there is a huge combination between evil and truth. Maybe it just seems that way because technology allows us to know more than we used to. Or evil seems to be getting more prevalent. A lot of the minor negative issues in our world today have more to do with impatience and lies. Then there are the real evil issues like bombings, murders and war.

What I am going to address are inner characteristics that have to do with God’s love and what it means to embody it. As you might have discovered by now, especially if you have been reading my posts, it is a powerful thing to carry. God’s love is so powerful, I believe it heals. I’m sure the purest of love was in Jesus as He walked this earth and healed so many. Someone who does not delight in evil is someone who always wants the best for themselves and others. This means even our perceived enemies or those who have done us wrong. Embodying real love and truth means we always want the best for people no matter what. As you might perceive, this takes humility and forgiveness. Again, as I always emphasize, neither of these means we tolerate bad behavior. It just means their behavior does not cause us to want them to be harmed in any way. We might feel that way in the beginning but real love will act as a covering.

In the story of Adam and Eve, God covered their “nakedness” in the garden after they disobeyed Him and lied about it. God saw through this because the Spirit of God is all knowing. Their nakedness symbolizes this exposure. Yet, God is pure love and can not hate. Within His forgiveness He covered them. In the story it was a literal covering of their body, but symbolically it is a protection from harm and an example of true God-love.  They received discipline. True love always disciplines as well. We can not think we will do harm and then expect to not have it come back upon us, but God’s grace always protects and covers us when we go to the temple of humility and truth. Grace and forgiveness are powerful healers but they are always balanced with discipline and consequences. This is a part of our God created universe of law and balance.

When the truth wins out, we are walking in divine love and honesty. This means being honest with ourselves as much as with others. Actually, we have to be honest with ourselves first before we can be honest with others. Either way, we have God in our temple inside and everything is exposed anyway. Often, like Adam and Eve, we trick ourselves into believing if no one knows or finds out then a lie does not exist or we will escape the full discipline for our hidden actions. Not true. How can we hide anything from God who lives in us? There is a Scripture in the bible that says, “be sure your sin will find you out.”  This means you will be exposed by the pure standard that is set up by the love of God. It is not that God wants you to “be in trouble” but to expose you so you will be disciplined, humbled, and covered. God wants healing and pure love and truth. True love always rejoices when the truth wins out.

It might not seem fair to not be able to hide in our mistakes and lies but actually the most loving thing in the world is to be exposed. How can we ever learn the power of true love if there is no discipline for our actions. So we can therefore rejoice when the truth wins out! Whether is it for ourselves or others, to see discipline within the truth is to see true love in action. It is a powerful cleansing and the beginning of walking in more of the Light of Life. A lie will bring spiritual death. The truth will bring life. Jesus was a huge advocate of the truth. As God has explained, it sets us free. This is the same whether it is truth, the opposite of a lie, or divine higher truth about our spiritual existence. A lie will fragment us but the truth will make us whole. A lie separates us, but the truth will delight in our unity.

So, you see, to not delight in evil on any level actually heals. We should desire evil to be exposed and to expose it when we are able. When we do this we are acting in true love. The Light always wants to shine to expose darkness. In that way there is more Light and more truth.

I remember when I was a child I lied to my mother about a very insignificant thing. Boy was she angry! I wondered why she got upset over something so small. I even wondered why I lied about something so small. Anyway, I was banished from my favorite television program and sent to my room with the door closed. She never came in to check on me even when she heard me crying. That was a very dark night for me as a little girl but very significant. I had to face my lie. Yes, I had tried to cover it up first, but it was exposed, and very quickly. I was not very happy about that at the moment but I had to face the consequences of my actions. It might seem very insignificant considering the issues we face in this world today but the lesson is the same. We can not hide from the light of truth. It always seeks out to expose us, teach us, humble us, heal us, and grow us up. I told my mother the truth after that, even when it was hard. It often was hard, but I found she was easier on me when I was honest than when I thought I got away with something.

I know it might seem like a childish lesson but in all honesty, had she not exposed it, I might have grown to be a less honest person. We bonded closer after that. The truth always wins out, wants the best for all of us, and is the highest form of love there is. It’s God love and the lesson I learned helped me to also expose evil and lies much easier and stronger since I understand it’s the right thing to do. It’s a loving thing to do. Sometimes it makes people very angry but exposure is still a very loving thing to do.

So, please, understand to not delight in evil. Don’t wish harm on anyone no matter what they have done. Expose the lies you know of, especially if they are your own, and allow the truth to win out. That way we can all rejoice in the truth whether it is human truth or higher spiritual truth. Exposure and discipline will give us both of them.

Have You Discovered the Power of Taking Holy Moments?

IMG_2812

This morning I sat with my tea just waking up and taking in the new day. I closed my eyes for a moment and the first thing I noticed was all of the noise that usually goes unnoticed. The heater came on, a car went by outside, birds were chirping in the trees, and then the ding of a message coming in on my phone. Our lives and world is filled with noise every day. The only time we are really not consciously aware of it is when we sleep. I can’t explain it, with my eyes still closed, the world suddenly came alive with deeper sounds and things I never noticed before. I realized the heater also makes a howling noise when it is on, the house creaks, and I actually sense light even when my eyes are closed.

Taking a holy moment to just “be” is so revealing, especially when beginning to recognize personal thoughts, senses of the body, or setting intentions of how the day could unfold. I remember reading a book written by Marianne Williamson a long time ago and also her famous quote, “Sacred silence writes the universe.” I thought about the moment just prior to creation and how that silence might have been. What an amazing moment in a void space of time when God took a breath and began creating. It boggles my mind to even consider what a great mind God truly is. I think it goes beyond personal comprehension and is far greater than our human existence can even fathom. Then with great intention God creates.

It’s how our day should begin and how it could be if we design it that way; a holy moment with God and the intention to create the day whatever way we partner in creating it. Think about this, “Without intention our lives seem random as the day unfolds.” It does not have to be that way. Of course, things happen that we can not control but we can control how we respond to them. I wondered this morning, what it might be like to have a day that unfolds with sacred and intended responses.

“Today I will take a breath and intend to be patient when I am tempted to be impatient.”

“I will walk in acceptance that the only life I can have control over is my own.”

Intentions can be much more powerful than we even realize. Could it be because we are not listening or taking sacred silence? When we listen, answers are there for our questions and questions come up we never thought of. It almost feels like the world forgot how to breathe, ask, listen, observe, and intend. Have we forgotten about the holy moment God taught us to have when creation began? Maybe we are in too much of a hurry to take the time to actually do the work that creation and intention require? Not taking the time can be costly though. That leaves our lives and days to unfold in what seems like a random way. If the way we respond to what comes our way is not set with intention our responses are left to our ego self instead of the part of us that is connected to our creative creator.

Maybe this sounds way too deep to take in during a morning cup of tea, but it is important. Can you imagine if we all took a holy moment every day or even several times a day? We can intend to be more kind, respond with more wisdom, pause before we respond at all. Maybe we can be more conscious of what comes out of our mouths. Are our responses positive, necessary, or true? Taking a holy moment to set our intention for each day can help calm some of the emotion we deal with. Emotions are important but they can cause our lives to feel like we are riding in a sail boat being tossed around by an angry or uncontrollable sea. Jesus once calmed those angry and uncontrollable waves. I think it was King David who asked God to level the hills and valleys. Could he have been setting an intention with God to not react in such an emotional or uncontrolled way?

Life can be a “hills and valleys” kind of ride without taking holy moments to sit in sacred silence. If you have not, take that time now and take it every day when you wake. Yes, it requires you create a new habit if you don’t do this already. You will thank yourself and thank God if you do. Give it a try!

I’m Wondering…

36404822_10156759836734255_1300871849369927680_n

Have you ever been curious about something so much that you just have to investigate further? Me too! I believe that God made us to “wonder” and to be curious. How else would so many discoveries and inventions be made? Wondering about the stars, galaxies, and planets caused man kind to venture out into what used to be the unknown. I guess we could say that wondering brings exploration, investigation, and contemplation.

I used to wonder what it would be like to have a baby. I had five! Sometimes wonder brings action and new decisions! I’m  always happy about my decision to have children. It has not always been easy but it has always been worth it.

Wondering can be like dreaming. It seems passive but actually its not. Our thoughts create actions and actions create new decisions and new things in life. In fact, when I really sat down to meditate on it, I realized that I wonder about a lot of things. Maybe wondering is why so many children ask the question “Why?” so much. Some of my deepest wondering is about spiritual things or about the soul. I just have to know! I love to explore what makes a soul a soul and where the spirit is after it has left the body.

I remember a time I looked into a mirror and wondered who that was looking back at me. Have you ever done that? Who IS that person in there? Looking deep into my own eyes, I wonder what makes that spark of life in me the way it is. We exist. Isn’t that amazing? Have you ever wondered about your brain and how many thoughts you have in a day? What a miraculous creation our brain is! It’s like it never stops going as long as we are alive! Then there is the mind, which goes far beyond what our human brain contains. This is even more intriguing to me. The mind is virtually limitless because there are so many possibilities within its travels.  The unconscious mind is the part of us that likes to play while sleeping. Ever wonder where your dreams come from?

I never thought of wondering as a power until I meditated on it. Our wondering brings creation through curiosity and exploration. It’s really quite remarkable. We can close our eyes and dream of any possibility and see it as possible.

What do you wonder? Spend some time meditating on it or catch yourself wondering. I bet you do it more than you even realize! Your wondering is creating in your life. Be bold to step out into the things you wonder about. There is a universe of possibilities waiting for you!.

Cheaters Never Really Prosper

11988378_10153670839814255_4027848974804248960_nI remember my mother used to always tell me “cheaters never prosper” when I was younger. I think its one of those old sayings that came from some wise sage but at the moment I don’t really feel like looking it up. I’m sure Google will have the answer if anyone is curious. The saying is true though. Cheaters might look like they are doing well for a time but eventually they get what is coming to them.

It always makes me a little sad when people who don’t deserve it get taken advantage of. Over the years I have seen it happen. Employers take advantage of employees, business partners are crooked, spouses cheating on one another in relationships, someone stealing another’s wallet when they are not looking and taking everything they have left by charging on their credit and debit cards. It happens in this world and its sad that it does.

There is something that the rest of us can count on though. God is faithful and He also created a universe that likes balance. It’s interesting that out of all the things God has made, everything is perfectly faithful accept the people He created. Our fallen nature from the time of Adam and Eve’s fall has created that imbalance. Eventually that will be fixed though.

There will come a day where all things will be revealed.  Jesus’ who knows the hearts of all mankind will reveal our hearts and actions openly to everyone else and we will all “know”. In the mean time I fully also believe that God, at His discretion, has a form of vengeance that can take place right now, in this life, as it is. His goodness will reveal itself through blessings and honor of those who walk uprightly and the eventual breaking down of those who do not.

Take heart my friends. He is watching and the Bible says that His eyes watch over the whole world. I think that is amazing, not to mention He sees right into the hearts of those who have been created by Him. We live in a fallen state and until that changes we will deal with the antics of fallen people. Unfortunately some are more cruel than others.

I have a theory that there is a hole in the internal being of some that is so big and wide that they have to fill it by taking advantage of others. I wish I could come a long and mend each person who has experienced being cheated out of things they deserve in this life. Be sure that the Bible is true in that the meek shall inherit this earth. The haughty and proud will go out in a blaze. They shall be last while those of us who have endured their wrath will be first in God’s Kingdom. Sometimes, we are fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of God’s balancing act right here on earth and we get to see how He takes care of His own. Take heart, the bully on the earthly playground won’t get away with things all of the time. Eventually their folly will catch up with them and you can stand proud that you live with integrity and God’s ethics.

I pray you peace in your heart, if someone has taken advantage of you. I also pray God will reveal His goodness to you right now in this life. Also, I pray that the Lord will show you how protective He is of you while revealing to you His distaste for what others have done to you. Pray for your enemies and take heart. Let your heart remain pure from the evil doings of others and watch how God blesses you! I know He is faithful. You can bet your last dollar on it and even then, watch Him multiply His blessing for you!

In His love,
