Remaining Light Hearted During Stressful Times

Oh my goodness! I chose this photo because the dog reminds me of the Alaskan Huskey we had when I was a little girl. Oh, how I loved that dog! There are so many things in life that can keep us light-hearted when times are really tough. By all means, grieve, cry, get upset, and do what you need to do to keep your heart from getting hardened, breaking, or stuffing things down inside of you. When all of that stuff is over, or at least for the moment, remember to stay light in your heart. Don’t despair or as Apostle Paul said, “suffer your own life.”

I agree, there are times when life is so hard it seems like the inner and outer conflict will never end. Welcome to my world my dear! There are some good things you can do to remain light inside when heavy burdens seem to be weighing you down. Let’s see, what things can come to mind that brought you joy as a child? Or what brings you joy now? We all have that capacity to grab a hunk of joy when needed. So go shopping for joy and you will be sure to find it!

I love a good comedy or movie that makes me feel really cozy inside. I indulge in them as often as I can when life has thrown me a curve ball and I forget my catcher’s mitt. Great music is another one! What used to get you up dancing back in the day? Go to your happy place. If you are creative, then go to the place where you are inspired to create! You will begin to create a new facet of your life as well. LAUGH!! If not anything else laugh at the craziness of life! Look back into your memory banks and bring into your mind a time when life was lighter when laughter was abundant and just plain funny! Ok, I’m getting a little too excited about that one. Talk to someone who just brings you warmth and joy. You can laugh or not, but if they bring you a sense of happiness then get them on the line and just have a good old joy fest.

Let’s face it. Life can be truly tough, especially these days when the world appears a little bit more harsh to live in. I think the entire globe needs a laughter thon. Grab some popcorn, if you can eat it, and just binge out on things that truly bring you joy. Your life will shift after your mood begins to shift. True, there are dark nights. I wrote about mine not long ago, but it does not have to be the end of joy as you know it. You are a co-creator with God and you can create whatever state of heart you desire.

Oh my goodness, DREAM! When you dream, dream big. Focus on the desires you truly want, how you want life to be, and who will be in your life. It’s your choice so choose well! Can you think of things that lighten your heart? Have a great heart-to-heart chat with your friend or even someone new and get to know them. Bring some good energy into your life and good energy will be what you will receive. I love to meditate sometimes when life is crazy. I just close my eyes for a few moments and re-adjust my attitude. Life is mostly attitude, you know? So chuck the bad ‘tude’, and shift your own inner landscape.

Life can’t always be fun or there would never be a lesson in anything but it can be joy-filled if you truly want and desire it to be. Play with the law of attraction! Focus on what you want to draw close to you and into your life. Bring God into your process and create! Feel it, think it, speak it, and dream it! Then watch the synchronicities happen!

Be grateful. There is nothing more powerful than gratitude to bring you out of a life funk. Clear the junk from your life and be so grateful you are fortunate enough to have junk to clear. Clearing also creates a vacuum the Universe fills with the dreams of your life! (Vacuums don’t just clear dirt and dust. The Universe has a blessing vacuum and will send out to you what you put into it! ) Keep the focus. Keep the faith. Keep the gratitude and love.
