What Do You Do When Life Sends a Curve?

Generated with AI

We have all been there; our plans are set and life is going as planned. Then SUDDENLY life sends a curve. It’s a situation that can not be avoided and it stops us in our tracks! So, what is it that we do when life sends those curve balls? Do we duck? Well, I guess we could if avoidance is what the plan is. My experience tells me that no issue in life ever gets addressed or solved by avoiding the obvious elephant in the room.

Say you are following your business plan and the plans are going along smoothly as you planned. Then it seems like suddenly a great deal of funding has to go to something else. Maybe something in your home breaks down and it is much needed. Or it could be your vehicle has broken down or heaven forbid an accident has occurred. The point here is a large amount of money that was supposed to go to your business now has to be allocated to something that must be handled NOW or there will be consequences. Sometimes it’s a business setback like a change or shift in the economy and your business begins to take a turn.

Since I am a huge believer that our outer life reflects our inner condition and beliefs I have to assume something internal has to be adjusted. Remember your internal temperature will eventually hit your outer life like a baseball bat just clunked you on the head! Reflection is required and adjustment is needed.

**Reflect on your internal landscape. Do you, or have you suddenly taken on thoughts of lack or have you been dwelling on a time when life was not as successful or easy?

**Have you checked your MOUTH? Have you taken on a ‘tude and your mouth has been cursing your life and others? Hmmmm, that situation could be very problematic!

**Has something personal in life happened like the passing of a loved one? Now you find yourself in a place where it’s time to grieve instead of work on your business.

There is something very important I have learned over the years. “This too shall pass.” All things eventually pass, including the sting of grief. Grief might not go away but the hardest part will become easier to tolerate.

Maybe it’s time to meditate and discover exactly what is going on within you that is stopping your business innovation or moving forward on anything in life. It’s time to discover and adjust. Sometimes discovery is the hard part because as humans we often don’t want to look at our “stuff.”

A discovery session with someone who will be professional and honest with you can be very beneficial if you are having trouble in this area. Once you know the issue, you can choose to adjust it. Sometimes those curve balls come to help you spin into a new direction in life that is more beneficial. Assess the damage here. Is it real damage or is it a pivot in your life? There are times when we are being led to change direction because it will benefit the cause or whatever it is you desire to create in life! Once again a discovery session can be so beneficial to determine if it is time to adjust or pivot!

We all need some clarity from time to time and no one is an island! We all need one another! Keep pliable in life and life will be easier. Adjustment will be easier and pivoting will be easier! See life as an adventure, instead of a burden. You will come farther than you ever have when you loosen the reigns a bit and let life flow as it should. Only control it when you know it’s time to make a change. Otherwise, if things are going well, accept and allow. Know the seasons. Know your inner landscape, and know how to gauge the timing!

Loving you from here,
