You are NOT a Mistake!

I’m not sure if I can even count the amount of people who feel or believe that somehow they were “born wrong”. Either they were supposed to be a different gender (their parents wanted either a boy or girl) or their body parts just don’t live up to someone’s expectations. Writing it makes it sound kind of crazy but believe me, when a person is feeling like they are somehow wrong it sure is not a laughing matter. It can feel quite hurtful. Sooner or later a person’s whole life and decisions are made according to the wrong way they see themselves instead of the right way that God intends for them to see themselves.

Each person was formed from greatness and in the image of God Himself. There is none that was made that He did not create. In the Bible Jesus is described as the “word”.  The book of  John explains that Jesus spoke all things into existence. He is the spoken word.

John 1: 1-5  “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He (Jesus) was with God in the beginning.  Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it”.

Genesis 1: 27 “So God created mankind in his own image,
    in the image of God he created them;
    male and female he created them”.

As you can see from scripture, God had His hand in the creation of man and woman. He is a perfect God and whereas we are not perfect (we sin due to our freedom of choice), His design is perfect. God knew you as a part of His vision. When He created, He created a design that came from His perfect love. The book of Genesis tells us that after all things were created, He looked at all He made, and proclaimed it “good”. That includes YOU! You are a part of that Genesis vision as are all generations to come.

You were made in a sacred place; knit together in your mother’s womb. It was private, uninterrupted, and holy. God and God alone knew of your most inner parts and God alone approved of them proclaiming them “good”. He celebrates you and is to be celebrated for His genius design.

Psalm 139: 13-14 “For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
      I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well”.

To think bad about what God created is to say He was wrong. Was God really wrong? Did He make a mistake? I’m sure not thinking so!

You might make mistakes in this life but the created you is certainly not a mistake. You are a miracle! Think about how amazing all of your parts are and how intricately each part has been made for a specific purpose. God knew what He was getting when He created you. He was there in that secret and holy place just waiting for the moment you took your first breath!

So whatever it is you struggle with today. Remind yourself through the day that you are a miracle creation from God. Think about what a miracle it is to even breathe! You are not perfected but you are perfect in design. God loves His design and tells you that it is good!

Holy Father, In the authority of Jesus Christ, I send forth and release the message to each reader “You are perfectly loved, perfectly created, and are here on purpose”. There is no other “you” nor will there ever be. Life would not be the same without you. Whether it is your laughter or tears that God holds today, He is holding them dear. You were created in a holy place with love and precision. I release to you a fresh vision of your purpose and a healing for your inner soul. Amen!
