Not only are lilacs incredibily beautiful, they have a healing and spiritual significance. The very sight of lilacs everywhere can mean that love is in the air! Lilacs are a very loving and romantic presence. Dreams of love past and present come into view when lilacs are in the picture. Interestingly, lilacs can also be blue in color but the symbolism is pretty much the same, including new things entering into a person’s life.
Lilacs can be a sign of new beginnings stemming from the old loves of days gone by. Or, they can be symbolic of new beginnings of many things, including new endeavors. The flowers are very good at healing depression. The lilac essence fills the room when a lilac candle is lit. It will ignite the soul and bring a sense of peace.
The color, or depth of color is significant as well. A very dark beautiful deep lilac color speaks of spirituality and should point us toward spiritual guidance. The spectrum can go from light to dark in color, to even a deep blue. Either way lilacs and the presence of them symbolize seeking out a newness in life and a spiritual awakening. White lilacs symbolize purity and are often seen at weddings or new births.
I love to use lilac infused candles with a little lotus flower scent to ignite wisdom! All of nature can speak to us if we allow its messages to come through. First you have to be aware of them. I hope you will seek out lilacs in all forms, whether flowers, candle essence, incense, or medicinal mixtures. Check with your physician first for medicinal issues to make sure there are no interactions with your medications! Any way you slice it, lilacs are here for you to remind you of love, passions, romance and healing!!
