Finding Strength Through Your ‘I AM’ Journey

I want to begin this blog post with a greeting and simply say “hello”! Many of my posts are less personal than this one and more educational. Today is a bit different. Maybe it’s a bit personal and educational. I don’t know, it’s a huge “let’s see”!

As many of you might know, a little more than a year ago, I was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. That’s a long way of saying “my body has decided to attack me”! Full-out war began shortly after that. I honestly believe I was in a semi-coma, a huge amount of denial, but ready to conquer all. Did I feel fear? Oh, heck yes! Every day of my waking existence I felt fear but also hope, strength, the prayers of those who love me and my own prayers that went forward every day in my quiet time.

During my first year or so, I wrote a small devotional and transformational eBook for women, without the extended workbook I had planned, but, in all honesty, I was working with the few brain cells I could still feel firing! I think they are restoring. One could only hope!

Life is full of challenges, and every day can bring a few more for sure. Life is also full of beauty if you look for it. (You have to be looking!) The first look is at yourself! Yep, you are filled with beauty; fashioned and gloriously made by a love intelligence we call our God, our Creator, or ” All that Is”. God likes to be addressed as “I AM” from what I understand, lol. In melding with the beauty that comes from God, identifying ourselves in the “I AM” context helps us not only see our beauty but also our strength, endurance, power, and creativity. Think about all that “I AM” contains. All of that is also YOU! How could you possibly see yourself as less than what God has determined you are?

Today, make a list of all that you inhabit as you see yourself in the reflection of “I AM”.

I AM POWERFUL

I AM BEAUTIFUL

I AM CREATIVE (etc)

Whatever and whoever God is, you are! Read your list to yourself daily and see how much your life will transform! Your thought life determines your outer life, not the other way around! So feed yourself the best, and the best will make itself known to you every single day!
