May You Find Forgiveness and Peace!

“A life well examined is a life that embodies peace,” Dr. Jenine Marie

Inner reflection is time well spent. When time is used to examine our lives for the harm, we might be responsible for; we have entered a place of mastery. It’s easy to blame others, leave things in the dark, or let things go and not deal with them. When time is used to find our wrongdoings in life and seek out forgiveness for those wrongs, we make room for new growth in our lives.

It is a lot like pulling weeds from a beautiful garden. Once the weeds are pulled, the garden is free for more growth, expansion, and beauty. We are that garden. Our inner spaces are just as important as our outer presentation. Taking time to seek out the weeds and pull them to the surface to deal with them is a labor of love. Once we have sought forgiveness for those moments that have not been so lovely, we are freeing up space inside us to expand and grow into a better version of ourselves.

Forgiveness shares space within divinity. Often, we think of forgiveness as something we do for others, but actually, it is what we do for ourselves. Sometimes we think we do it for God. God does not need for us to be forgiven but God wants us to be. Our lives can be as exciting as we can make it, but without forgiveness for our wrongdoings, we are not growing.

Do you want to get past all the past? Maybe you have not taken the time to examine the inner workings of your heart. Be honest with yourself. Have you forgiven yourself and others for what has happened in life? I believe our lives are entirely examined the moment we take our last human breath and move into only spirit. You might not think you need it. If you want more freedom, if life is not what you would like it to be, then you need it!

Do not waste another moment hiding in the shadows with your issues. In the light of God, you hide nothing. During this Day of Atonement or any day, examine your heart. Ask God to help you and to reveal any way in you that might be less than free because of the sludge of unforgiveness. Forgive yourself, forgive others past transgressions against you. You need not draw hurtful people back into your life, or even keep them. Just forgive them. Free up space in your garden. Stop looking and pointing out other’s faults or mistakes. Yours are worth looking at, and you are worth freeing!

You Can Manifest Your Goals. Don’t Give Up!

download

One of the hardest things to do is get moving again once good habits have been let go of. There are always those defeating thoughts that go through our minds, like, “When I get enough money I will buy some new exercise equipment and then I will get into shape.” Or maybe this excuse hits home, “I’m not feeling well today. I need an indulgent treat to get through this emotional time. I will get more healthy tomorrow, next week, next month, next year, next decade…” Meanwhile, life is passing by, time is going faster than we realize, and before we know it we feel lost.

I’ve seen this a million times in others and myself. It makes no difference what the goal is, the excuse seems bigger. The only thing that has to change to make a goal a reality is to make the goal bigger and more in focus. Whatever we focus upon always comes closer to us. We see this in daily synchronicities all of the time. If our thoughts are on dragonflies,  suddenly we see them everywhere. When our thoughts focus on the main goal we want to achieve; the answers, the incentive, and the victories are displayed everywhere.

We live in a universe that has been set up by God to be supportive and it always is as faithful as its massive Creator. Focus on self love and more self love comes to you. It’s no accident, it always works. What really hits things out of the ballpark is to BE what you are in desire of manifesting and you will see your victory in front of you all of the time until it becomes a reality.  Feel and see your goals with every part of your being and you will draw to you the most amazing help and victories you ever have witnessed.

Sometimes it takes a small crawl before hitting the highway to do a long jog. Sometimes we have to be willing to start at the beginning before we can ever see the end. The main thing is to begin. When you do, you will see, you will have more encouragement you ever have witnessed to get you right where you want to be.

Think of something you want to manifest more than anything else on earth. Keep that image around you all of the time. Write down the pathway you want to take and then add photos to encourage you on the way. Feel the result with every part of you. Be the result and you will have your dreams and victories. Don’t allow trials or setbacks to discourage you. Get back up, get on the road, and make that victory yours!

The Gifts of Time and Appreciation

Coming out of a local store, I recognized a woman who was a part of my church. I had not been her Pastor for very long but I knew her from years gone by.  She had a look of desperation on her face and obviously needed some help. I spent part of the afternoon with her, helping her with some very urgent issues. Its always a labor of love to help someone who is struggling. I believe it truly sets up blessing in our lives.

When we were done I was amazed that so much time had gone by. It seemed like moments and yet it was hours. After our time together was over that day I took a look at her again. Her whole face had changed from desperation to relaxation. It’s like she could breathe again. Sometimes resuscitation is not mouth to mouth but heart to heart. As I walked her to her car she turned around to look a me as she opened the door. With tears in her eyes she said, “My life is better because you are in it.” I could hardly contain what feeling her comments gave to me that day.

Appreciation is a true gift to the heart. For some reason I want to call it a healer because I believe it is. Whatever might have been on my mind that day before she became a part of how it unfolded had just drifted away into another place. My heart became consumed with how much she appreciated me as a person and her Pastor. It was only some of my time and maybe a little help as well. Yet, for her it was everything. Her gratitude and appreciation was like an unexpected blessing and miracle to me.

We all go through things in life. We all have bad days and good ones. The ones that mean the most are the ones where someone somewhere says their life is better because we are in it. It is the gift of purpose and appreciation. God tells us that we perish when we lose our dreams and visions for our lives. We have to have them because they give us hope. She returned the blessing I offered her that day with feeling of purpose. There is something about knowing we are needed and appreciated that makes life a little more worthwhile. Even in our darkest nights of the soul, appreciation is a gift that brings hope like a lantern shining brightly through the dark places.

Don’t forget to tell someone your life is better because they are in it today. You will bless and heal them beyond what you even think.

Weekly Wisdom: Mastering Calm in the Storm. “Peace be still.”

36404822_10156759836734255_1300871849369927680_n

Have you ever experienced a natural calm during a time of challenge or disaster? Our bodies create this calm in order to help us see a situation clearly and deal with it quickly and efficiently. It truly is quite a miracle! I know I have felt this sudden calm during some of the most difficult times in my life so I know it first hand. It’s obtainable and available when we need it.

What we often don’t realize is it’s also available any other time too. This wonderful calm is like when Jesus commanded the waves of the sea to become still. His utterance, “Peace, be still” is almost like an affirmation He put out to create the environment He wanted all to witness. The disciples were in a boat filled with fear, panic and anxiety. We know this could only create more of the same. Jesus had to change the state of the situation by calming the sea so they could see more clearly. They were never in danger, but they perceived they were. Remember fear is “false evidence appearing real”.

We have this stillness ability anytime we need it. Everything Jesus did we can also do. I love the saying “sometimes God calms the storm but sometimes God lets the storm rage and calms His child.”  The amazing thing we eventually notice is, once we become calm in the midst of a storm, the storm subsides for us and we become clear minded to deal with just about anything. The waves of life often appear so much bigger than they actually are. They are highlighted by our manufactured fear concerning them.

The key in moving back into the calm state is within the “pause“. Practicing taking a breath, tapping into our Christed state within us, and interrupting the false state of the mind is one of the most helpful things we can ever learn. Not only that, the pause helps to create a clearing of the mind and the light of “calm” can be allowed to shine through. I like to call this a “critical bypass”. We enter into a critical moment where we can choose one state of being or another. Life is about choice. We can take that pause and choose to not see fear. We can question if what we are seeing, thinking, or experiencing is real or false. Ask yourself during this time, “Is this true?” Often we discover what is happening or about to happen is not true at all, but things that are manufactured in our brains. We love to project our fears into the future, don’t we?

Try this instead…

Take some deep breaths during this time. Oxygenate the blood within your body. We tend to breathe very shallow when upset, see fear, or feel anxious. Deep breathing brings more oxygen into the brain. An oxygenated brain is a better thinking brain. While doing this place three fingers from one hand on your heart area where your sternum is. This is where your thymus gland is. Then press one hand into your belly right where your belly button is. Or you can press two fingers into your belly button area and one right between your eyebrows on your forehead. The area between the eyebrows is the pineal gland. Breathe deep a few times and then breathe normally. You will automatically become more calm. Affirm Jesus’ words, “Peace be still.” You are affirming stillness into your being and your body. You are also activating calm by using your bodies natural energy meridians.

Believe me, you will begin to see things more clearly, the storm will seem more calm, and decisions will be made in a more proficient way. You will express yourself in a more calm and assertive manor and your body will thank you for it! I’ve often heard it expressed that the “pause” is a moment of creation. Let this practiced pause create more stillness in your life’s situations. Be gentle on yourself. Life is a journey and no one masters any practice immediately. That’s why we call it practice! This is God given energy medicine at its best and most simple perfection.

This week, practice mastering calm in your life by also mastering the creative pause. Then take your practice into the following weeks until it becomes a part of your natural state. Have beautiful calm moments in the weeks ahead!

What’s Your Problem?

frustrated-womanNow there is a million dollar question, right? I guess I should entitle this post, “What Problem Are You Dealing With Now?” I can see your wheels turning. Maybe you are dealing with many problems. Welcome to my multi-tasking world! Let me interject some reality here. Everyone, I mean everyone, has problems! In fact, if you don’t have problems I would think you are an alien with some sort of super powers to overcome obstacles and leap tall buildings at a single bound. Bottom line, you can not escape them!

Yes, I know, they make life a pain. Life is supposed to be a pain. In fact, life is supposed to be one pain after another. Life is like labor pains; problems and labor pains. Before you click off and proclaim me too negative, think about this. Without problems there is no reason to solve anything. Can you hear me in this? If there is no reason to solve anything then there is no way to grow, no need for intuitive insight, no reason to find or seek peace. Have you ever had a problem resolved and were able to take that deep sigh of relief that says, “I did it”!

You see, without problems there is no celebration of success either. Interview any successful person and they will tell you about all of the problems they had to field on the way to where they are. So, get on your hiking boots because life is a mountain to climb. Yes, indeed, we can speak to that mountain, “Be thou removed” and if we have faith, it should vanish, right? I think it’s more honest to think that maybe the mountain can be removed by solving the issue concerning how to climb it! That is the only way muscle will be built and the only way we can ever celebrate our success!

I know, sometimes it feels like one thing after another hits us and we become sure there is a bulls eye on our behind that every problem seems to be attracted to. If this is how you ever feel than consider yourself fortunate! Sounds strange, I know. Think of it this way. The more issues you need to field and solve the more your faith has to be exercised, your brain has to be accessed, your emotions need to be tamed, and your skills need to be utilized.

How about if I interject the idea that having problems is a blessing and thinking of them that way will make them less daunting? If life were always easy and no problems were to ever come up, I think that would mean a person is probably dead or in a coma. Let’s embrace them, alright? Repeat after me:

“Problem, I am so blessed by you! Thank you for coming into my life, because now I am challenged to be an over comer. Thank you for showing me that I am alive! Yes, I treasure you and your lessen you came to teach me”!

Blessings upon you, AND the problems you face today!

Are You Living Outside of Yourself?

IMG_20171023_130408Do you find yourself continually affected by other people’s actions, attitudes, or things that happen to you? If you are, then you are not alone. We all tend to do this and for some reason make our lives harder than it has to be. Have you ever noticed if you walk into a room filled with people in a bad mood your mood tends to change to align with theirs? Or maybe your relationship partner will get to you by their actions or personality now and then. We all do affect one another’s lives but we are not meant to live outside of ourselves to the point where everyone and every other thing affects how we are or feel inside.

For some reason, people tend to be like sheep. We follow others instead of being our own leader. Jesus referred to people as sheep a few times in His conversations. I certainly can see why. The hard thing about living in a way where we are always affected by others, is that we never really end up finding ourselves in the mess around us. Leadership starts within because God lives within each of us. We are supposed to now be the temple of the Holy Spirit, and with that truth, be personally and individually guided by Him. We can’t live for others. We can serve them but not live for them. The idea is to learn to live our own lives from within ourselves.

God created you to be a unique human being, unlike any other. You are meant to be lead by His Spirit and to hear God for yourself. Your life is too precious to be a reflection of someone else’s. A life lived well is one lived true to one’s self and not mirroring others lives.

If you have looked into the mirror lately and have not recognized yourself. Maybe some good emotional release coaching would be of great benefit to you! You only have ONE life to live here on earth. Why not live it as the best you that you could possibly be?

In love and release,

Pastor Jenine Marie Howry

Oh Don’t You Dare! Don’t You Give Up!

11988378_10153670839814255_4027848974804248960_nSometimes life send you a curve ball! The most successful people in life are not the ones who have a strategy and plan but those who are flexible enough and diligent enough to make new decisions and roll with change! Here is a message on NOT giving up! Be encouraged and remember my exercise bike!

You Were Made for This Time, So Go On and Soar!

photo 3 (4)One afternoon I had walked into a bookstore on a quest to find a book by a specific author. I bumped into someone I knew and had not seen for quite some time. I asked her, “How are you doing”? Her reply was, “Oh I am just fine, just looking around for some inspiration to read until God tells me when to work out my destiny”. At the time, I really was confused as to how to address her with this. The question came to mind, “Why wait”? I pretty much knew this type of situation before. ( I had gone through this myself). I could only assume at the moment that her destiny confused her. I can understand that feeling; been there, done that. I remember not wanting to feel bossy or like I was telling her what to do. I wanted to shout from the roof tops to stop waiting and just go ahead and do what she was created to do!

Aside from the obvious to love one another, love ourselves, and love God, there are specifics that we all have the pleasure to accomplish in this life. It is not hard to find out what those things are. We recognize them because we are absolutely “in love with them”! I remember the very first time I preached a message after I was ordained many years ago. I was so afraid inside and out. I wondered if I had anything that would make any sense, or if I was going to completely flop doing it. I did it anyway because there had been a love planted inside of me to do just that. God knows I had good education! Not only that I was accumulating life experience to add to the messages. My passion for preaching a message that was given to me was so strong that I could not help but press past any anxious nerves I had. I loved it so much!

Let me just interject to you right here and now. You have been created for a time such as this. God planted things inside of you that you love so much! Once you are honest with yourself about what those things are, there is no stopping you, and no reason to wait at all. In this world, we can think of a million things we could be doing, but the very special ones that we are passionate about will not be able to help but bring passion to others. Our glow in it will outshine any fear at all.

I’ve said this to encourage you today. If you are passionate about creating and completing a household that is welcoming and vibrant to others then do that! If you love the thought of opening a new business and always dreamed of doing it, then do it! If you were called to teach and enlighten others, then please give us the benefit of your ideas! I think you get my drift here. When it is something you are so in love with and the thought of it makes you smile from the inside out, then it is something you should be doing right now. This is YOUR time! You have God breathed life inside of you. You have gifts that only you possess and can give of in this world. We all need you, and we need you working your passion.

Don’t you see? Stepping out in what you love elevates us all. When you shine your light, you bring us all light as well. When you glow in your purpose, we all glow a little brighter because of you. Bringing more joy and life into this world is never a mistake, ever.

Rise to the occasion my eagle! You were made to soar. Block out all the resistance and negative thinking about your ability to accomplish your goals. If you love it, and God has given it to you, then you will not fail. You will make mistakes, but you will not fail.

Do you want to solidify your destiny and dream? Tell someone what it is! Speak it out as much as you can and with all the enthusiasm you can muster! Just be wise in the telling. Tell someone who you know will embrace you and who you can trust with your vision. To be blunt, don’t tell negative Nellie down the street when you know she won’t be supportive. Even more intimate, tell yourself daily. I know this sounds strange but procrastination seeps in like a boil and it will stop you if you let it. Speak to it and tell your dream it will come true. Then take one more step after another. I’ve given you the first one, now soar! If you want, you can tell me! Whatever you do, just own it my dear. The more you own it the more you will make it yours. Make sense? I hope so! I want to see you soar!

So, today, close your eyes and imagine that special “thing”. Take it to the next level. What would you do right after you tell someone what it is? One more step darlin’, that is ALL it takes! Just keep repeating that “one more step”. You’ve got this and God has granted it to you, so go girl, go!

Motivationally yours,

Pastor Jenine Marie Howry
